How To Prioritize Using The Eisenhower Box

Are you feeling overwhelmed every workday?

President Eisenhower can help with that!

President Eisenhower was a master at handling a ton of tasks, even before he was president. His methods for time and task management have been studied by many people, but we’ll give you the short version.

His most famous productivity strategy is the Eisenhower Box, a simple decision-making tool that’ll help you narrow down your priorities on a day, week, or monthly basis. Use the decision matrix below and follow these simple rules:

1. Urgent and important (to do immediately)

2. Important, but not urgent (schedule to do later)

3. Urgent, but not that important (delegate)

4. Not urgent or important (eliminate or set aside)

Use this for both broad productivity plans like how you should spend each week and for smaller daily plans. We’ve created a PDF for you to use, just download it below!

We challenge you to fill your Eisenhower box out the next time you sit down at your desk and feel overwhelmed with your day!
