Remote in Albany: The Quarantine
You read that right! This blog is being to brought to you by COVID-19. Quarantine is mandatory for new visitors in New York State. We’re still in a pandemic, guys, so no surprise here. Thankfully, if there is one thing I’m always ok with, it’s getting some quality me-time in. And as a virtual worker, I’m remote and often working from home anyway. Two weeks of quarantine? Remote in Albany: State of the Biz
Fun and games aside the name of the blog series is called Remote in Albany which means it’s time to actually talk about working remote in my new dwellings. I hope some of these things to note are helpful to you if you are planning on working remote soon yourself.
Remote in Albany: The Arrival
I made it! After two days, very little sleep and lots of coffee, I am officially in Albany. No limbs missing, just mostly brain fried as two sisters would be after driving up the coast for 2 days. The best piece of advice about driving up? Actually make it a road trip. Not a marathon. Take a few more days off, put the “getting there” anxiety to bed, and take longer rest stops in cities you have not been in before. Explore a little bit. Safely though!
Remote in Albany: The Plan
