Creating Higher Level Habits

It’s the new year and you are PUMPED about all of the potential that 2020 holds. Same, girl. Now let’s not allow that enthusiasm to go to waste. As you step into the most badass version of yourself this year, you’ll be developing new habits. You know that saying?

If you want something you’ve never had, you have to do something you’ve never done. - Thomas Jefferson

Well said, sir. Well said.

If you’ve been stuck at the same level or somewhere you don’t want to be, it’s time to step it up, get out of your comfort zone and DESIGN your new normal.

Let’s go!

Know what you want.
How on earth are you ever going to become the boss babe you want to be if you don’t even know what she looks like and how she acts? What she wants to accomplish? What she’s capable of?

What to do: Journal it out. Explore what she does look like to you. How does she spend her time? How does she think about herself? How does she make others feel? Explore what it is you ACTUALLY want out of life. Know your priorities. Forget your fears and recognize the absolute incredible potential that is within you.

Then, identify 3-5 habits that you can implement based on your new, epic self.

Start small.

Okay, I know you’re a go-getter, but jumping into implementing all 5 habits at once into your life is just going to end in overwhelm, burnout and frustration. Start with one and get it down pat before you jump into the next.

What to do: Set deadlines and block off time in your calendar to work on yourself. You need to prioritize being your best self so that you can run your best business. Really. It’s a smart business decision.

Find accountability and support.

You DO NOT need to do this alone. In fact, you shouldn’t. Having an epic support system that understands the vision you have for yourself and fully, 150,000% supports you in making it happen is the key to ultimate success with creating higher level habits. You can do this by:

  • Finding a mentor, someone to guide you, push you to your fullest potential and give you feedback.

  • Join a community that specifically attracts ambitious, supportive women that are in the same position that you are in.

  • Post in a Facebook group that you’re looking for an accountability partner! Be specific in what you’re looking for: type of industry, frequency of chatting, the type of accountability you’re looking for, etc.

And last but not least, have a GREAT freakin’ time becoming who you know you were always meant to be. You’re already incredible, and I can’t wait to see what you accomplish this year. Cheers to 2020 you.
